I really enjoy the food from Tong Fei. We almost always do take out (it's only a minute from our place) and its ready fast and still hot when we get it to the table.

Great wonton soup, and they do a delicious deep fried spicy squid with hot peppers. Large portions and good flavor. It's a bit pricey for the items I go for regularly but I'm willing to pay for the quality.

    Good fortune cookies too :)

So fresh, and huge portions. Super clean restaurant. We were a bit concerned as there was no one in the restaurant but it seems they do a good takeout business. We will be back to try this place again.

Worst place to get Chinese food in Abbotsford!!!!!

Went here to try out the lunch special and I should have avoided this place after seeing it empty. Opened the door and went in and only saw one person eating inside not a good sign. The owner was sitting behind the counter watching a Chinese soap opera of some sort and he was hacking up a lung.

Sat down and gave me a menu, without even having a 2 second glance he was standing beside me impatiently waiting for me to order. Got the fried rice and breaded almond chicken. He coughed and hacked then left with no asking if anything to drink.

The food came out in less than five minutes and of course he came out coughing and clearing his phlegm filled throat all while handling my food. Rice was hard and gross pieces of grey coloured chicken and the almond chicken was greasy an tasteless.

Avoid at all costs as my experience was less than pleasant, my only positive thing was I didn't get sick from going here

I worked in the strip mall Tong Fei is located so it was a natural, sometimes daily, lunch stop me. The food there tasted fantastic and the portions were enormous - I'd have to say the best value for money of any restaurant I've been to. That being said, the owner would always take my $5 bill and never give me change, despite the food costing $4.75 - in fact I never remember him giving me change on any order. One time I allegedly paid debit but the transaction did not go through, according to him. A month later he angrily confronted me saying that I owed him money. When I refused to pay him for this "ghost" transaction and demanded proof that I did not pay, our relationship took a turn for the worse. He is a very funny man, rude and abrupt but it grows on you quickly. I never ate in the restaurant and always took out so his rudeness never lasted long. I am not in the area anymore so I have not visited the restaurant in a while but next time I am in town I hope to pay Willy a visit and reminisce on old times.

Keep driving... server was more interested in up charging and watching Chinese Soap Opera (or that's what I hope they were) than waiting on tables or offering customers something to drink. Food was at best average and came out almost instantly - so not what I would consider fresh cooked more likely reheated. Ginger Beef is beef in a ginger sauce not the North American style ginger beef that I had hope for (worst part was that I was up charged for it).

Won't recommend it! Lots of better places in town.
